The 2017 Journal Citation Report (JCR) has been released by Clarivate Analytics (formerly Thomson ISI), and the 2017 Impact Factor for Cochrane Database of Systematic Reviews (CDSR) is 6.754. This represents a signficant increase over the 2016 Impact factor, which was 6.264.
The impact factor is a measure of how often the average article in a journal has been cited in a particular year. It is calculated by dividing the number of citations in the year by the number of new and updated Cochrane Reviews in CDSR over the previous two years. Protocols are not included.
- The CDSR is ranked 12th of the 154 journals in the Medicine, General & Internal category.
- The CDSR received 62,332 cites in the 2017 Journal Impact Factor period, compared with 57,740 in 2016
- The five-year Journal Impact Factor is 7.669 compared to 7.084 in 2016
